National User Groups believe local funding of SMS will reduce efficiency and innovation

Whilst the User Groups welcome the extension of central funding for SMS services until September we remain of the opinion that devolving the funding to local level will not bring any efficiency savings, and therefore can only reduce costs by reducing the service to patients. We believe this is misguded and unwise.
