EMIS NUG offers Charitable Grant

The NUG is extremely proud to be in a position to offer a Charitable Grant for project work which will enhance the use of Information technology in the primary care setting and improve health care provided to patients.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to complete a project that they have frequently thought of doing but have been restricted by not having funding for protected time.

This is single one off grant available for anyone who fulfils the eligibility criteria detailed.  The project must be original and related to health informatics within the UK primary care setting.  Ideally the project should be short term but could have a long term focus.  It would be most suitable for a project that can be concluded with a 12 month period.

The grant is a fixed award which can be used for a single project or at the discretion of the NUG may be awarded for up to 3 separate projects.   It must be used within 12 months from the date of the award.

The recipient will be required to present the results of their project at the 2008 NUG Conference and to publish the project in EMIS User (a quarterly publication).  If the work is of a sufficiently high standard then the NUG will support the recipient in obtaining an academic publication.

It is not our intention to fund any project that is receiving any funding from another source.

If you are interested in applying please complete the following application form. If you have any questions please contact the NUG office on 0191 4874571 or email info@emisnug.org Applications will need to be in by 30th November 2007.
