Although the forum has the same messages as the discussion list there are some additional advantages that may mean you wish to subscribe to both.
The forum allows binary messages to be posted. That is to say computer files such as templates can be added in a section of the forum. These files are not forwarded to any of the discussion lists and you will need to post a message on the appropriate list informing people that the file is available from the forum.
The forum also acts as a library of historic messages and is searchable. If you are a new member with a question it is quite likely that a similar question will have been answered in the past and searching all messages is often the easiest way to find the information you require.
To join the forum follow the link above and click on the "Register" icon towards the top right of the page. Once you have filled in the required information you will receive an e-mail message containing a password and confirmation of your username both of which are required to log on to the forum to post a message. Existing messages can be read without logging on.
There is an extensive help section within the forum should you require further information about its use.
