Chris has been a partner of a 3.5 doctor paper-frugal training practice in Hereford for 25 years. They have used EMIS for 10 years since the potential of the millennium bug allowed them to switch from AMSYS having initially used Microdoc. They are involved in developing patients’ access to their records. Consultation (chatting) skills and ergonomics (laziness) have motivated him, along with 17 sheep, 3 children and a good medical wife. He is also a medical officer for the city’s League 2 football club known as the Bulls.
Hasib has been a GP since 1991. He practices in Chislehurst, Kent. His interest in GP IT started after the Practice installed EMIS in 1994. He has been actively involved in GP IT development in Bromley since 1995. He has been on the NUG committee since 1998.
Tom is the Practice Manager at the Manor Street Surgery in Berkhamsted. He considers EMIS to be a valuable tool in General Practice and he views his role on the NUG committee as representing the non-clinical users of the system. An avid "armchair" sportsman; these days Tom restricts his physical activity to a bit of keep fit, managing a Boys football Team and keeping up with his young family.
